Lawrence J. Hutchens is a pioneer in the area of consumer law advocacy and has had extensive experience negotiating and litigating claims against every major vehicle manufacturer in America. Having been practicing exclusively in the area of consumer protection for over three decades, Mr. Hutchens has earned a reputation as "The Godfather of the Lemon Law."
Lawrence has tried more lemon law cases than any other lawyer in California and has earned a reputation as one of the leading lemon law attorneys in the state. He has been asked to testify in front of the California legislature by leading consumer groups regarding amendments to the consumer warranty laws currently in place. His work of advocacy for the consumer has been successful in helping to strengthen buyers’ rights under the law. In addition, Lawrence is listed as a referral attorney for the Center for Auto Safety in Washington D.C.
